the way i feel about it is why should i spend $100 on a mass produced doll when that could be spent on a custom outfit by a small creator? i've been really into miniature builds and find it so fun to see what people are able to create at such a small scale. i started a miniature build myself from a kit but got overwhelmed trying to figure out furnishing lol

Yeah, I honestly have not been into dolls at all lately. I got a few vintage Barbies but the collector dolls are just completely out of my price range and they don't make my heart sing the way the RH/SH dolls did. I've been looking at some OMGs but idk. I feel you 100 percent. The doll world has been really boring and bland lately tbh i think it might be that we are exhausted. What i ve been doing lately is stepping back for a while and coming back once i feel inspired to make a doll. And it has worked for me as in now.

She turned out amazing but am I surprised? Not a bit. lol The black pants you put her in helped tie in the black streaks in her hair, so they definitely aren’t too jarring. I was a 90’s teen and that’s exactly what I remember the style being like. I’m kinda sad to see Rainbow High falling off from the quality it was known for. These are the only dolls I’ve ever been interested in and I joined the party right when they were at their height, new releases constantly coming out and giving me something to look forward to. The new stuff is…eh, it’s ok. Some of the dolls are cute but the loss of wrist articulation is disappointing. I have a channel recommendation for you, it’s nature stuff which you said you wanted to connect with. The channel is called Deep Look. Videos are typically very short but they pack a whole lot of interesting things into them about insects and other tiny creatures. If you feel like nerding out check it out. :)
